This project was developed as Laine’s BFA Senior Thesis and Portfolio Project. Her work explored connections between womanhood, female sexuality, and the natural world, with particular attention to the primal and abject aspects of femininity. Through the use of bones, landscapes, and direct comparisons between her body and elements of nature, Laine created a series that engaged themes of identity, embodiment, and the intersection of feminitity with the environment.
