Rhea’s project, created for an advanced image manipulation course, reflects her interest in fashion while experimenting with the use of patterns and shapes to alter spatial perception. Inspired by Kehinde Wiley’s backgrounds that blur the boundaries between subject and environment, Rhea’s work moves fluidly between design and photography, challenging the usual perception of the figure/ground relationship.
